Our three days in Dalat was nice, in that we got to see a lot of farming and a glimpse of the rainforest that still remains in the interior of Vietnam. However, the people were not the friendliest there and we didn't have a pool or sea to swim in, so we're pleased to have made the (rather treacherous and bumpy) journey to the coast again.
Mui Ne is a town lacking high rise developments and still serves as a fishing town to a large extent. We're based just out of the township, almost on the beach as it stretches away from the town. People visit for kite boarding and windsurfing, the beach and sand dunes. In fact from one side of the building we can (just) see the beach:
And on the other side are the orange sand dunes:
We managed to get somewhere with a kitchen to help save a few quid on food and we now have a lounge and two separate bedrooms!! Believe me, after 7 weeks sharing a bedroom (and often a bed) with our kids, it's so nice to have two bedooms! We are incredibly lucky to have this adventure, but sharing small hotel rooms for all this time has had it's moments, for all involved!... I wouldn't change it for the world though!
