Lost in translation...

We made friends with the bar man (again) last night and he (Bogo) took us to the beach today (see previous post). Whilst chatting about a variety of things whilst watching the tiny fishing boats launch through the rough sea, he asked if we like seafood, to which we replied yes. Thinking no more about this had out fun and eventually headed home, got tarted up before going out and eating bowls full of noodle soup and stir fried rice in town. We got home bloated only to receive a call from Bogo (who was at a football training session that he had invited me to join, but I reluctantly declined due to hunger), telling us that our seafood was nearly ready... We ambled back to Brown Eyes and explained to the family that own and run the place about the communication break down, but they explained that they had visited the fish market especially for us and that Bogo had called from the beach telling them that we were keen as mustard to try the local specialities... I know it sounds like we have been well played, but even if we were, we ended up with even fuller bellies, stuffed with beautiful prawns, clams (in a delicious soup) and delicate, delicious crabs and we got a hefty discount on the prices we have so far baulked at for being too steep.

We're not traveling the world to miss out on wonderful experiences like this, but we'll be skipping lunch as usual tomorrow, thankfully the free breakfast at the hotel has been big and hearty. We're supposed to be watching Bogo and his football team play at 2 pm tomorrow and he wants us to go to his sisters wedding on Sunday... heaven knows what we'll end up doing!!
