Going for Gold (Coast!)

Bernie and I are currently trying to squeeze more training time into our life. We are fortunate enough to have so many things on our doorstep and we were looking forward to a winter of tramping and exploring more of the mountains and bush inland from Nelson...

Selection has changed these plans (not that we're complaining) and we have stocked the pantry with increased rations in anticipation of the huge amount of feeding we (or I) will devour as a result!

If you want to get a better idea of the event, there's a half-decent youtube video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLydEaLdw70&feature=channel_page

I played football for the first time in over a year yesterday and have many aches as a result! I have also been swimming today for the first time in 2 months and felt that too. There's race 2 of the Rabbit Island Duathlon series tomorrow and some of my students want to beat me - I think I'll need some strong coffee at 6am!
